For six days during our run of 'Romeo and Juliet' in Massafra, Italy, in December 2012, we ran workshops with academically able 15-25 year old Italian students, helping them further their understanding of Shakespeare, acting technique, and the English language. This culminated in a collaborative performance at the end of the week, in which the 18-strong group created a montage of the major motifs of 'Romeo and Juliet', through a variety of mediums from physical theatre to traditional monologues. The workshops were a huge success for both the students and ourselves, the company.
